Blackboard Technical Support

For problems with accessing your Blackboard course or course materials, current students can contact the DePaul Technology Contact Center (TCC) in the following ways:

  • Phone the TCC at 312-362-8765 (M-F 8am to 8pm, Sat 10am to 6pm, Sun Noon to 6pm. The TCC is closed during all university holidays).
  • Submit a case ticket through Campus Connect. Click here for the instructions to access the ticketing system.
  • Email the (TCC)at tcc@depaul.edu .
 



Consistent access to a computer with an Internet connection and an email account is a requirement for all online courses.

Hardware

The minimum requirements for IBM or compatible computers are:

  • Pentium 4 computer running Windows 2000 Professional or XP Home Edition or XP Professional or win Vista(DePaul no longer supports Windows 98)
  • 512 MB RAM (at least)
  • 40 gigabyte hard drive (At least)
  • 56K baud dial-up modem, or high-speed connection (DSL or a cable modem).
  • CD-ROM drive, sound card and speakers
  • Monitor with 1024 x 728 pixel resolution or better (32 bit true color)
  • Printer
  • Macintosh users must have System 9.2.2 (or higher) with comparable features.

Software

You should have a recent version of Microsoft Office (Office 2003 is preferred or higher). Other required, but free programs, include QuickTime 6.0 or Windows Media Player, Acrobat reader 7.0 and WinZip evaluation version 8.1 or higher, and Firefox browser (optional).
