Spring Term begins Monday, March 26, 2012 and ends on Monday, June 8, 2012

Preview Week allows students to read through their online courses, get used to Desire2Learn, plan their schedules, and order their books. It begins on Monday, March 19, 2012.

You should have access to your course now to review it, test links and features, enter due dates and prepare your personal profile. Find it in your Faculty tab. (Foundations and Research Seminar are found in the Instructor tab). If you cannot access your course, please email snlonline@depaul.edu.

To help your students plan their term:

  • Please insert specific due dates for each assignment into the Checklists, and check the box so they will appear in the Calendar and Events.
  • Please enter your personal and contact information in the Profile. Please include a picture.
  • Please create a Signature File in the email tools so your students will be able to identify your emails.

Here is a checklist of early tasks that will help your students get the information they need to succeed.

Getting Help:

Notices:

  1. During the week of March 12, SNL Online will email registered students with administrative information, and will send a copy of the email to you.
  2. Please place copies of all-class emails into either a course Discussion or a News Item, so students can see all of your communication in one place. This is particularly important for students who have email problems.
  3. Enter grades for 5 and 10 week courses on Campus Connect after June 4. The deadline to submit grades for Spring 2011-2012 is June 15.
  4. It takes up to 48 hours for students who add or drop courses or competences in Campus Connect to be changed in your D2L course.
